Because every ring that I create in my machine shop is machined I can utilize steels that cannot be crafted by jewelry makers. Many people have the idea that any material that is other than gold and silver will stain your finger or immediately rust. this simply isn't true. I have worn this ring for years and the prongs have built up a layer of cosmetic superficial rust because they were made from carbon steel, but it is insignificant to me because it can be polished out with Scotch Brite and simple green with minimal effort. \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eWith the level of durability that steel has your ring can become an heirloom that can be passed down your family line if you wish.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThe ring you order will be custom made to your specifications and can be further customized with any design you wish engraved on it for additional cost. Note- at this point I cannot engrave inside the band because I do not have the specialized engraver that a jeweler has yet. I am a cnc programmer and machinist and until this project such things were out of my wheelhouse.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThis ring is one of my later designs that I could this incorporate a 10mm round cut sapphire (Lab Grown) or Cubic Zirconia that are readily available online on eBay... the value of this ring is not in the material or the stone itself but in the craftsmanship and vision from which it comes like a Fabergé egg. Since this particular ring is entirely made from steel I Would recommend a stone like a Lab Grown Ruby (a Red Sapphire) or a CZ because something like an emerald or an amethyst could crumble under the prong pressure.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003ePlease note this that I have other ring designs that are far safer for valuable precious stones because the mounts are made from plastic or rubber.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eAgain, all the items that I am selling are made in the United States, and in almost all of my designs even the fasteners are made in my facility. this ring incorporates a \"snake eyes\" security bit to remove the stone. \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eBecause These Rings are made custom, I cannot do cash returns, however. Since these are steel rings that cannot be resized, I will work with the customer and remake the item until the fit is correct. I say this because the width of the ring is a factor in sizing that isn't accounted for with the existing ring sizing system. There is also the factor of swelling in hands and fingers that isn't as apparent in a classic style ring.
